Writester.net - Susan Hilliard

Susan HilliardWritester.net was started as a hobby project to post my own writing online, in December 2004. I began a romantic historical fiction called “The Jamestown Brides” in 2002 but after 11 chapters stopped working on it in 2003. My ‘brilliant idea’ was to start posting what I had completed to encourage myself to finish the novel and gather some useful feedback from readers.

What started out as a hobby evolved into a much larger scope for my project though, with Writester.net.

What you will see in the next few months on Writester.net as it evolves will be the following new sections:

  • Interviews With Authors
  • Book Reviews
  • Online Writing Resources Directory
  • Employment - Job Board
  • Information Exchange Forum
  • Round Robin Story Writing
  • Mentor Program for New Writings
  • Agent – Publisher Information Exchange
  • The aim is to build Writester into the one of the largest online free writing resources for writers, agents, publishers, editors and the general public that need to find useful writing resources.

    Who is Susan Hilliard?

I work as a web developer and in my free time write on the stories I’m developing and also on my websites. Living in Southwest Florida, my other hobby includes going to the beach when time permits.

My three websites that I love to work on are:
    www.writester.net (My writing website)
    www.walkingbuddies.com (My walking website)
    www.kintowho.com (My family history website)

iexploreghosts.com - I’ve just started developing this one. I find a good ghost story, and the history behind most of these castles, plantations, mansions, and reputed haunted houses quite fascinating. It believe they would make for great stories in a novel, so in some way it would be connected to my Writester.net website.

I have many other websites that I own and when time permits I’ll start developing these too.

Feel free to contact me with questions or if you have a book you’d like reviewed - I love to read! If you’d like to be added to our resource directory, or would like to be in our author’s interviewed section, just email me.

“Lisa Gardner has done a magnificent job in this spine chilling suspense thriller that kept me on the edge of my chair and kept me up into the wee hours reading only to get back up early and continue reading again… This is one of those books I couldn’t put down - a real-page turner! Excellent read!”
